The Melody Shop Terms

The Melody Shop can accept payment only by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

The Melody Shop Shipping Policy

While the logistics of international shipments are being studied, at this time The Melody Shop is accepting orders for shipment to U.S. addresses only.

All orders are shipped by UPS from The Melody Shop's warehouse located in the Midwest. Orders for items in stock will usually be delivered within four working days to any address in the continental U.S. for just $3, and within 2 working days to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico for $6. This charge applies to all orders whether small (one unit) or very large. In-stock items are shipped within 24 hours. Backordered items are shipped in one to three weeks, depending on its popularity and rarity.

Next day service is available in the continental U.S. for $8 per order and second day service is available for $6 per order. Please indicate in the shipping instructions of your order form if you want next day or second day delivery service.

The Melody Shop Cancellation Policy

Orders cancelled after shipping are subject to a cancellation charge of 10% of the purchase price. Please check your order carefully. If you do choose to cancel your order, please try to cancel it before the items are shipped. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Partial shipments

Sometimes items you choose are backordered: in other words, they are still obtainable, but they are not currently in stock at our warehouse. This condition is not the same as items which may still be listed in our catalog but are no longer in print, although you have the option of cancelling your order if even 1 of the items you want is not in stock -- whether or not they are ultimately obtainable.

As you fill out your order form, you will be given some choices about what to do if items on your order are unavailable or backordered. They are:

  • Default: in stock items are shipped immediately; backordered items are deleted from your order.
  • The entire order is cancelled if any item is not currently in stock.
  • The in-stock items are shipped immediately: backordered items are sent later in a second shipment for an additional shipping charge.
  • The entire order is shipped when all backordered items are in stock, usually within 10 days to 2 weeks.
  • We will call you for instructions based on what's in stock and what's not.
  • The Melody Shop Guarantee and Return Policy

    The Melody Shop guarantees that CD's and tapes will perform satisfactorily. If a product is defective, please return it with your invoice within 30 days, and indicate whether you would prefer a refund or a replacement copy.
